AquaShip AS strengthens its position with farmers in the UK

The AquaShip group has today signed an agreement to acquire the Austevoll based shipping companies Salmon Star AS and Gerda Sæle AS. Through the acquisitions, AquaShip has strengthened its fleet with the wellboats Gerda Sæle and Martin Sæle. The vessels are contracted for Grieg Seafood Shetland.

The shipping companies will be a part of the AquaShip Group which incorporates Johnson Marine Ltd, Gripship AS & Aquaship Feedtrans AS. Following the acquisition, the AquaShip group has a total of 310 employees and annual revenue of 550 MNOK. AquaShip AS is a global supplier of maritime services to the aquaculture industry, and after the acquisition the fleet consists of two newbuildings and 29 existing vessels operating in, Chile, Ireland, Scotland, Shetland, the Mediterranean, Iceland, Canada and Norway.

 

 

The group’s headquarter is located in Kristiansund, and in addition the group has offices in Førde, Chile, Spain, Iceland and Shetland. The international impact combined with services within all segments of the maritime aqua-service, gives AquaShip a unique position in the industry and no other shipping companies in the sector has the equivalent expertise and experience.
